An 8-year old boy died last night after being run over by a hay trailer in the Benson area. Cache County Sheriff Lieutenant Chad Jensen says when emergency officials arrived around 8 p.m. family members had pulled the boy from under the trailer and were administering CPR. He says it appears the boy tried to jump off the trailer and fell in front of the tire before being run over. A family member was driving and saw what happened. Jensen says the boy was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. He says this appears to be a tragic accident and will not be releasing the boy’s name until all family members have been notified.
