A candidate for Logan Municipal Council has withdrawn from the race. Curtis Broadbent submitted a letter of withdrawal to Logan City Recorder Teresa Harris today. Broadbent’s letter says extenuating circumstances have arisen in his family since he filed for election and he has determined that the needs of his family must take priority at this time. Broadbent expressed appreciation to all who encouraged him and supported him in the endeavor. Broadbent said he intends to remain chairman of Logan City’s audit committee and in other capacities where he is presently serving. Broadbent was one of nine candidates running for two seats on the municipal council.
