Bear River Bears return to radio

The Bear River Bears football and boys basketball teams are returning to the airwaves, but this time on a new frequency. On March 28th radio station KYLZ, known as Classic Country 104.9, went silent. Although KYLZ has gone away, the Cache Valley Radio Group’s commitment to serving the fans and supporters of the Bear River Bears has not. Live broadcasts of the Bears will be heard on 107.3 FM with Harry Gephart, long-time voice of the Bears, continuing his long tradition of calling the play-by-play and Kasey Thompson as his color-analyst. The Bears’ first game will be on Friday, August 21st at Logan. Game broadcasts begin approximately 10 minutes before kickoff.Translator 107.3 will rebroadcast the program stream from KKEX HD2, which will initially simulcast the programming of KGNT Smithfield. The vast majority of programming that listeners have enjoyed on 107.3 will continue on that frequency, only to be interrupted for Bear River game broadcasts.Cache Valley Radio Group stations include Classic Rock 95.9 KLZX, News Talk 610 KVNU, Today’s Best Music 94.5/98.3 VFX, Soft Rock Q92.9, Today’s Best Country KIX 96, Memories 1390/103.3 KLGN, Oldies KOOL 103.9/107.3 and La Sabrosa 104.5.
