Options for Independence is praising Logan’s First Presbyterian Church for its recent church and office accessibility improvements. Options’ Executive Director Cheryl Atwood says the upgrades include an elevator, ramps and automatic exterior doors. Rails, grab bars, and bathroom fixtures were installed at the appropriate height and interior doors and hallways widened. Atwood says all of the changes were done with a focus on safety and compliance to the Americans with Disabilities Act codes which were obtained through Logan City and followed by BGW Construction of Ogden. Funding for the renovations came from the George and Delores Eccles Foundation, First Presbyterian Church, neighboring wards of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the community at large.
