Weber State athletic director leaving post

OGDEN, Utah (AP) — The athletic director at Weber State University in Ogden is leaving the post to spend more time with his family.The university announced Thursday that 53-year-old Jerry Graybeal will scale back his workload and obligations. But the school says he plans to stay involved with Wildcat Athletics by moving to an administrative position.Graybeal served as athletic director for more than four years. He was named interim director in April 2005 and got the job on a permanent basis in September of that year.Graybeal was head football coach at Weber State from 1998 to 2004 and was named 2003 Big Sky Conference coach of the year.Assistant Vice President for Administrative Support Jerry Bovee will serve as interim AD.
