Early voting ends Friday, primary election just days away

The Municipal Primary Election is coming up on Tuesday, Sept. 15 and candidates for mayor and city councils throughout the valley are expected to step up their campaigns over the weekend.Friday is the last day for early voting in all of the cities and towns in Cache County. When voters go to the polls on Tuesday, some form of identification will be needed due to new legislation passed earlier this year. Logan City Recorder Teresa Harris said a valid Utah driver’s license is sufficient by itself as is a photo identification card issued by the state of Utah or an agency of the United States. Otherwise, two forms of identification are required that show the voter’s name and one other form of identification such as a check issued by the state or federal government, a current utility bill or bank statement if they show the voter’s name and at least one shows the voter’s current address.
