Municipal elections will be held Tuesday, September 15th where candidates for mayor and city council will advance in their goal to be elected in all of Utah’s cities and towns. Early voting has been brisk in Logan, according to City Recorder Teresa Harris.She says early voting ends today for communities throughout Utah. Polls will be open from 7 am to 8 pm on Tuesday and Harris says a list of the polling places will be in Sunday’s paper. In Logan, four people are running for mayor: incumbent Randy Watts, Mike Morrill, Marc Haws and Jon P. Clay. The council candidates include Dean Quayle, who was appointed to replace outgoing council member Steven Thompson several months ago, Tony Wegener, Robert Horning, Holly Daines, Steven Stokes, Brandon Brown and Chad Tilley.The primary election on Tuesday will narrow the field to the top two candidates for each position.
