Candidates for office in Hyde Park have been selected in a different way than in other Cache County communities. On Sept. 14, residents gathered to elect candidates for the People’s Party and the Citizen’s Party, and the result was two men running for mayor while three men and a woman will compete for two open seats on the Hyde Park City Council.For mayor, it will be Tom Price against Brian Cox on the November ballot. Incumbent Carol Johnson will seek re-election to the City Council, whiel Marvin Biggs, Mark Hurd and Sam Balls will also be in the running.
