Arts Spotlight 10/4: Concert and Lecture Series at the Tabernacle

Concert & Lecture Series at the Tabernacle/Noon Music at the Tabernacle In honor of National Arts & Humanities Month, we are featuring a Cache Valley arts organization a day. The Logan Tabernacle hosts hundreds of free concerts and lectures each year, programmed by a multi-denominational committee. In addition to regularly scheduled concerts and lectures, a Holiday Series offers events Thursday through Saturday evenings from Thanksgiving to Christmas, and the popular Noon Music at the Tabernacle presents concerts every Monday through Saturday from June through August. Construction on the Tabernacle began in 1865, but stopped when a disagreement arose over the size. Brigham Young felt the planned building was too small. Bishop Preston argued for the current size. Bishop Preston was sent on a mission, and when the work resumed in 1873, it was at the larger size.
