Five adults from around Cache Valley reportedly spent the night in a cave near Tony Grove Lake overnight, but were reported to be OK Wednesday afternoon.Search and rescue crews were called out at about 11 a.m. Wednesday to search for five individuals who left the valley to go caving in Polygamy Cave at about 4 p.m. Tuesday and reported that they’d be home by midnight, but never returned.Family members of the cavers started searching for the four men and one woman, then enlisted the help of search officials Wednesday morning, Cache Sheriff’s Lt. Matt Bilodeau said. At around 1 p.m. Wednesday, the group emerged from the cave, reportedly without injuries.”It sounded like they’re all under their own power and in good shape,” Bilodeau said, noting that in a cave like Polygamy Cave the temperatures constantly remain relatively mild so there was no chance of hypothermia. The conditions outside the cave, however, were much colder, with four inches of snow on the ground.
