A free community education program, concerning issues leading to domestic violence and how to avoid abusive behavior, will be held at the First Presbyterian Church (12 South 200 West, Logan) Sunday evening, October 25. The evening will be featuring separate sessions for adults, teens, and children. The public is invited to the program, which begins with a dinner at 5:30 p.m. in Bruner Hall.Group sessions will focus on how to build healthy relationships and avoid abusive behavior. Children will learn ways to help build harmonious groups and deal with bullies, be safe at home, and how to call 911.Thirty years ago, local Presbyterians were pivotal in organizing CAPSA and they continue to provide financial and volunteer support. The church recently received a grant to finance a new, updated phone system for the agency for its crisis hotline.
