Las Vegas, Nevada ? Utah State women’s tennis completes action in the Intercollegiate Mountain Regional Championships, Friday, in Las Vegas, Nev. The championships included draws in singles and doubles competition with consolation rounds for each, which began Wednesday, Oct. 14 and will conclude Saturday, Oct. 17. The Aggie women advanced freshmen Kristina Voytsekhovich and Jaclyn West and junior Hailey Swenson in the singles consolation round. Voytsekhovich fell in the fourth round to Montana’s Rebecca Bran, 7-6, 1-6, 6-3. West defeated Idaho State’s Rilee Moorehead, 7-6, 6-3, to advance to the fifth round before falling to Boise State’s No. fifth-seeded Lauren Megale, 6-1, 6-2. Swenson battled through three sets to BSU’s Rocio Frej to win by default. Frej withdrew in the third set due to injury. Swenson then advanced to the fifth round to fall to Utah’s No. 17th-seeded Evgenia Kryuchkova, 6-4, 6-1. USU concludes fall competition with the end of the ITA Mountain Regional Championships.
