OGDEN, Utah (AP) — State officials are commissioning a study of a pipeline route for water that would be pumped out of northern Utah’s Bear River.The Bear River has long been eyed as a possible source of potable water for burgeoning communities along the Wasatch Front.The state’s Division of Water Resources says it’s taking a preliminary look at alternate pipeline routes.Construction is more than 15 years away. The project also would require one or more dams.
