Tampa Bay Buccaneers claimed former Aggie Shawn Murphy off the NFL waiver wire. Murphy joins another former USU lineman, Donald Penn, who starts at Left Tackle for the Buccaneers.

<strong>Jazz</strong>

Utah Jazz let Spencer Nelson go, along with two others yesterday, as they got down to 16 players. They need to be at 15 by next week when season begins at Denver Wednesday night. Next exhibition game is Friday night 7:50 on KVNU from Sacramento.

<strong>Basketball</strong>

Weber State is the pre-season favorite in a vote of the coaches and media of the Big Sky Conference. The Wildcats open the season hosting our Aggies November 13 in Ogden. Utah State also hosts Idaho State on November 24 in their home opener. The ISU Bengals were picked 3rd by Big Sky Coaches, and 4th by the media in these polls out Wednesday.
