Two challengers to third term Republican U.S. Senator Bob Bennett will be in Logan Friday night. Republican candidate Tim Bridgewater will speak at 6 p.m. in the USU Engineering Building, Room 106. The event is sponsored by USU’s College Republicans and it is part of Bridgewater’s “29 counties in 29 days” tour of Utah. Also, at 6 p.m. Democratic senatorial candidate Sam Granato will be a guest at the Cache County Democratic Party’s Big C.D. potluck dinner. The dinner will be held at the home of Nat and Faye Frazer, 4 Terrace Place in Logan. Granato is the only Democrat to have announced that he is challenging Bennett. Those attending the Democrat gathering are asked to bring a pot luck dish.
