A traffic accident in Perry Thursday afternoon sent a car through the wall of a condominium just east of Highway 89. Perry City Police Lt. Brian Mueller says just after 3:30 p.m. an SUV waiting to make a turn onto 2100 South from the highway pulled in front of a Toyota 4-door passenger car. The impact caused the car to leave the road and crash through the kitchen area of the unit, leaving an 8’ x 8’ gash. No one was in the condo at the time and Mueller says the 71-year old driver and her 90-year old passenger survived with only minor injuries. Mueller says everyone involved was wearing seatbelts. He says the force of the crash knocked the stove off the wall and destroyed the cabinets. Damage is estimated at $20,000. All three persons involved were from Box Elder County.
