Sen. Hillyard wants to protect emergency responders

Lyle Hillyard comes after Rich County and Sheriff Dale Stacey were sued after a pursuit of a drunk-driving suspect into Bear Lake County, Idaho ended in a crash and serious injury of a bystander in 1999. An Idaho Supreme Court ruling says Idaho law doesn’t cover personnel from other states.
