Final Fall Commencement at USU

A four-year tradition ends this weekend when Utah State University holds its final Fall Commencement. Carol Strong, Dean of the Emma Eccles Jones College of Education and Human Services, will speak to the new graduates Saturday at the commencement ceremony which starts at 10:30 a.m. in the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.An academic procession starting at 10 a.m. will march from the Nelson Fieldhouse to the Spectrum. Events begin Friday at 12:30 p.m. when graduate students and faculty gather at Nelson Fieldhouse for for their march to the Spectrum where the hooding ceremony begins at 1:30.USU officials announced in July that it was cutting fall commencement, mainly because of budget concerns.
