Once again the issue of grade configuration for the Sunrise-Summit and North Park-Greenville elementary schools is on the agenda for the Cache County School Board Thursday night. The meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. and board member Tamara Grange says the issue may or may not actually be addressed. The board has already voted six to one to change from the current kindergarten through second grade at Sunrise and North Park and third through fifth grade at Summit and Greenville to kindergarten though fifth at all of the four schools. At a public meeting two weeks ago many parents and teachers spoke out in favor of keeping things as they are. Grange says the issue will only come up if one member of the board who voted to change the configuration asks for a re-vote. She says if that does happen and the council supports the idea that re-vote will take place. Otherwise, the previous decision will be considered the final decision. Superintendent Steve Norton has recommended keeping the current configuration.
