Tai Wesley had 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead Utah State to a 68-51 victory against Cal State Bakersfield on Wednesday night.Tyler Newbold added 13 points, mostly behind 3-7 from beyond the arc early in the first half. The Aggies (6-3) committed just five turnovers, one in the first half.Stephon Carter scored 11 points and Trent Blakley 10 for the Roadrunners (1-7), who trailed 34-17 at halftime.A 27-2 run over a 12-minute period in the first half gave Utah State a commanding lead. The Aggies made 11 of 21 shots from the floor during the run. Every Aggie player contributed in Wednesday night’s contest, including Preston Medlin who was a question mark coming into the game following a nasty ankle sprain versus Utah Valley on Saturday. Medlin came off the bench and played 19 minutes and scored five points.Utah State now prepares for Long Beach State who they will face on Friday.
