Grade configurations at four Cache County School District elementary schools will be changing to conform with other schools in the district which are kindergarten through fifth grade schools. That means Sunrise and North Park will no longer have kindergarten through second graders while Summit and Greenville have third through fifth grade students as many parents and teachers had preferred. A board member would have had to change his or her vote and that didn’t happen so there was no re-vote last night. Board President Jonathan Jenkins, however, did make a motion to leave the four schools as they are for two more years. There was no second for that motion or for another by Jenkins to change the two Smithfield schools while leaving Greenville and North Park unchanged.
