Red air alert in effect through mid-week

The Bear River Health Department issued a “red alert” advisory for Cache County’s air quality Sunday night, and the alert is forecast to remain in place through at least Tuesday.According to the

, the red air alert indicates that the air in Cache County is unhealthy for sensitive groups.During a red air alert, wood burning stoves are outlawed and residents are asked to limit driving as much as possible. Those with sensitive medical conditions that are aggravated by poor air quality are also advised to remain indoors.
