A very snowy New Year: Snow in forecast every day for next week

It will be a very snowy New Years holiday if the current forecast from the National Weather Service holds up.Snow is in the forecast for Cache Valley for every day through Tuesday, Jan. 5, which is as far as the current forecast goes.On Wednesday, snow fell steadily throughout the morning creating treacherous road conditions throughout Northern Utah, with numerous wrecks and slideoffs reported throughout the region. County emergency officials advise motorists to slow down and be extra cautious while driving, especially on roads that have yet to be cleared by snow plows.For the rest of Wednesday the forecast calls for additional accumulation of two to four inches of snow in the valley. Overnight, new snow accumulation of less than half an inch is expected. There’s a 20-percent chance of snow Thursday and temperatures are expected to be very cold thanks to a wind chill that could make it feel about 2-below zero.Snow is likely on New Year’s Eve, with snow continuing to be likely at at least a 20-percent chance through Tuesday.
