Wine may be allowed in Franklin County bars

PRESTON, Utah (AP) – Franklin County lawmakers are considering a measure to allow bars and restaurants to add wine to beer on the menu. The county commission plans a public hearing Jan. 13 on a request to change current law that allows only beer to be served. The last change to Franklin County’s alcohol law came in December 2006, when the commission voted 2-1 to allow wine sales in grocery stores and convenience stores.
