Preston school district may resume drug test policy

POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) – Preston School District officials say they may reinstate a drug-testing policy for student athletes next month. The Idaho State Journal reports that the board of trustees will consider the matter at a meeting next week. The district ended it’s drug-testing policy last year, partly because of budget concerns and partly because none of the athletes tested positive for drugs. But this year high school officials have offered to pick up the bill, because they believe the program deters students from even considering drugs.
