LOGAN, Utah (AP) – The father of a 43-year-old woman killed with her two children when a canal collapsed in Logan last year has taken a step toward filing a lawsuit for damages. A notice of claim was filed last month by a Salt Lake City lawyer on behalf of Jacqueline Leavey’s father, Antonio Ortiz of Layton.
