TEA Party hosting states’ rights workshop

The focus will be on states’ rights Saturday when the Cache Valley TEA Party Coalition presents a “Keystone to the Restoration of Our Liberty” workshop. Michelle King, who is in the leadership of the TEA Party Coalition (which encompasses several different conservative groups), says the workshop is free. It runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the mezannine of The Book Table, 29 South Main in Logan. King says Gary Wood will be one of the speakers. “He’s the Utah State coordinator for the 10th Amendment Center, which I think is a fairly new conservative group,” King says. “They focus on the 10th Amendment which states that all powers not given to the federal government are given to the states and those powers are…I guess the powers of the federal government are few and the powers of the states are many.” She says another speaker is Ken Rizooto of New Orleans, an aerospace engineer who has spent years working for the defense industry. King says he claims he took an oath to defend the Constitution and we are now witnessing an attack on our liberties.
