POCATELLO, Idaho – Utah State men’s tennis nabbed the first win of its spring season defeating Idaho State, 5-2, Tuesday. USU improved to a 1-1 record. The Aggies dominated singles competition, taking four of the six points at the number one, three, four and six spots. Freshman Sven Poslusny battled through three sets to defeat the Bengals’ Javier Royo, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6, at the number one position. Junior Bryan Marchant commanded the number three spot, defeating ISU’s Dakota Pate, 6-4, 6-1. USU claimed the doubles point, sweeping the Bengals in doubles action. At the number one position, Marchant and junior Jakob Asplund defeated ISU’s Javier Royo and Danel Barrenechea, 7-5.
