Logan High principal to retire

Logan High School Principal Patt Hansen says she plans to retire at the end of this school year. Her retirement will end a career in education that has spanned 40 years starting as a teacher at the River Heights Elementary School. She soon moved into administration and Hansen has worked in several capacities, including as principal of Spring Creek Middle School, principal of Mountain Crest High School and assistant superintendent and director of schools for the Cache School District. Hansen has been principal of Logan High for the past six years. Logan Superintendent Marshal Garrett said Hansen has done a great job i nher position, having overseen the transition to a new schedule and the introduction of a new attendance policy, both of which are difficult tasks.
