SALT LAKE CITY (AP) – The Utah Jazz will honor longtime broadcaster “Hot” Rod Hundley during a game next week. The Jazz are planning a halftime ceremony for Hundley when the Jazz host the Sacramento Kings on Friday, Jan. 29. The club is also naming the media room the “Hot Rod Hundley Media Center.” Hundley was part of the Jazz for the organization’s first 35 years. He called 3,051 Jazz games in his career with the team, which included its original home in New Orleans and after the move to Utah in 1979-80. Jazz president Randy Rigby says the team wanted to formally thank Hundley for his decades of service.
