Fire crews from throughout the valley battled a blaze at a Hyrum home Friday afternoon. A Cache County press release states 911 Emergency Dispatch was called at approximately 2:30 p.m. to a house fire at 61 E. 100 South. The home is owned by Myron Case and his wife. At the time of the call, the home owner’s wife was in house. She was able to evacuate with no injuries. The cause of the fire has not been determined, nor has a dollar amount of damage. Investigators from the Sheriff’s Office and the State Fire Marshall will determine the cause as soon as the fire is contained and it’s safe for them to continue the investigation. No other information is available at this time.
