SALT LAKE CITY (AP) – A Utah task force sent to Haiti with the goal of bringing home a planeload of Haitian orphans says its mission was a success. Members of the Utah Hospital Task Force say they brought 141 children from Haiti to Florida late Friday. The children, who were already in the process of being adopted by Utah families, were having difficulty leaving their nativecountry following a devastating 7.0 earthquake. Task force member Roosevelt Richard, a Haitian native, says another nine children from the group were held back by Haitian officials for fingerprinting. He says adoptive parents were flying from Utah to Florida to meet their children. The families arrived in Utah Monday morning. Task force members left for Haiti on Thursday.
