Anthony DiLoreto, a 7-foot-1-inch freshman for the Utah State Aggie men’s basketball team, has been suspended indefinitely from the basketball program after an undisclosed violation of team rules. DiLoreto was recruited to Logan from Minnetonka, Minn. The 230-pound center came to the program with a certain amount of baggage, having been convicted in connection with a botched bank robbery in Wisconsin in August 2008. DiLoreto was scheduled to serve 90 days in jail for his role in the attempted bank robbery, and he reportedly was planning to serve that jail time over the course of three summers, 30 days at a time. In a statement released by USU Athletic Media Relations Monday night, it was stated that DiLoreto will not travel or practice with the team.
