The Utah State University Speech and Debate team returned from their last conference tournament as the six-time Northwest Forensic Conference champions. Competing against 21 other colleges and universities at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon USU not only took first place in the conference but also first place at the tournament. The conference championship is given to the school who has accumulated the most points after attending the three conference tournaments. Taking the conference this year was a challenge for USU because due to graduation and marriage, there were only two returning members from last year’s conference team.
