Aggie Weekly Update

SILAS MILLS-Mexico-Indios

SEASON IS OVER

Klosterneub gets the victory 64-62 on February 7. Bobb didn’t play because of Coach’s Decision. Klosterneub moves record to 17-4 and remain tied for 2nd place.NEXT GAME is Feb. 14 vs. Worthersee who has a 3-18 record.

DESMOND PENIGAR-Austria-Furstenfeld

The Panthers got their league leading 18th victory on February 7, 75-56.Penigar got his shooting back on track. He played 33 minutes and was 9-13 from 2, 2-3 from 3, 3-4 FT, had 6 boards, 1 assist, 2 steals and finished the game with 27 points.NEXT GAME is Feb. 13 for the Panthers who are 18-3 on the season and are in first place in the league. They will take on UBSC Graz who is still looking for their first victory. They are 0-21.

GARY WILKINSON & SPENCER NELSON-Greece-Dash Peristeri

On February 7 Peristeri gets the victory 73-68.GARY WILKINSON wasn’t listed in Box Score at all with the Coach’s Decision DNP by name. So I thought he may have been cut, because he wasn’t getting a lot of updates anyway. Just received word from Ben Pensack, Gary’s agent, who told me that there is no need to worry about Gary’s status with team. Gary wasn’t listed because was sick and unable to play so they just didn’t list him on roster. So I guess Gary would be considered a game time decision for the next game Peristeri has.SPENCER NELSON played 6 minutes and was 0-1 from 2 and had one board. So Spencer finished with 0 points. I hope with the 6 minutes of playing time that this isn’t a sign that Spencer is on his way out of Greece. As far as Spencer Nelson’s minutes or I guess the lack of minutes he is getting, Ben Pensack says there is no indication that they are going to part ways with Spencer. He just hasn’t been given minutes consistently in games.NEXT GAME for Peristeri (7-8) is Feb. 14 vs. AEK (5-10).

JAYCEE CARROLL-Spain-Gran Canaria

Gran Canaria gets back into victory column with the victory 77-63 over Valladolid after being blown away by 1st place team Regal Barca last week. Huge win for Gran Canaria. Jaycee was 7-9 from 2, 1-6 from 3, had 5 boards and 2 assists.NEXT GAME is Feb. 13 for Gran Canaria (10-11). They will be facing Granada(8-13) on the season.

SHAWN DANIELS-Premier Basketball League-Oklahoma

Apparently the Calvary (5-2) thought 154 points wasn’t enough points scored in their last game. So when the Calvary hosted the Maryland Greenhawks, February 4, they set a season leauge high by scoring 161 points!!! The Calvary defeated the Greenhawks 161-95. Daniels finished with 9 points in 25 minutes of playing time. He was 4-5 from 2, 1-4 FT, had 4 rebounds, 8 assists, 1 blocks, and 1 steal. The Calvary are 5-2 on the season with their next 2 games are scheduled for Feb. 9 and Feb. 11. Both games are away games.
