Landon L. Leishman, the 26-year-old Logan man accused of multiple first-degree felony charges of rape and sodomy of a child, was ordered to serve 50 years to life in prison Wednesday. The charges stem from alleged acts that occurred in 2009, according to court documents. Prosecutor Spencer Walsh told 1st District Court Judge Kevin Allen that Leishman had sex with a young girl 26 times over a period of three years when the girl was between 5 and 8 years old. During the sentencing, Allen told Leishman that he hoped he would “never breathe free air again.” Walsh called Leishman a predator of the most dangerous sort.
