Local nurses return from Haiti

Two local registered nurses, Kim Roderick and Lisa Peterson Daines, recently returned from a two week stay in Haiti where they utilized their medical skills treating victims of the devastating January 12th earthquake. They treated victims ranging from infants to a 106-year old woman and both said the Haitian people they met were extremely appreciative of the aid given by them and other groups. Most of their patients had lost one or more family members in the earthquake and in some cases all other family members were killed. Their plane brought to the states 69 orphans already arranged for. They say there are still many orphans in Haiti who would love to be adopted.
