Nedra Taylor, advocate for the disabled, dies

Nedra Taylor has had a presence at local listening sessions with state lawmakers for many years representing the disabled population served by Options for Independence. But the well-known activist in a wheelchair was conspicuously absent from a Saturday session with local legislators because she died Thursday at the age of 69. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Logan South Stake Center, 340 West 700 South. Friends may call at Allen-Hall Mortuary Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. Taylor received a masters degree in rehabilitation counseling from Utah State University and then went to work for Options.
