USU programs merging to create Center for Women and Gender

Three Utah State University programs will combine and become the Center for Women and Gender. A program and reception are scheduled for Monday, March 29 to celebrate the creation of the center. Activities start at 5 p.m. at the Evan N. Stevenson Ballroom of the Taggart Student Center. Everyone is invited to attend. The Center for Women and Gender brings together USU’s Women’s Center, Women and Gender Studies and Gender Research Institute.Ann Austin, Vice Provost for Faculty Development and Diversity, says the new Center will provide a wonderful synergism of energy, activities and expertise from three previously separate, successful and active programs.Austin says the new center will form a vibrant, cohesive unit manifesting in total the land grant mission
