Weston man accused of brutally killing dog

A Weston, Idaho man has been accused of killing his dog while visiting relatives in Farr West, Utah on Monday, March 29. Weber County Sheriffs Captain Klint Anderson says the 49 year-old suspect argued with his sister at a nursery, then went back to his mother’s house nearby and walked to a milk barn outside.The man allegedly got his Labrador retriever and used a pickax to stab and bludgeon the dog to death. He then allegedly put the remains in his van and left. According to the Salt Lake Tribune, the suspect was booked Thursday in the Weber County Jail on suspicion of felon cruelty to animals. The man was released on bail.
