Logan council allocates CDBG funding, including money for park strips

The Logan Municipal Council allocated more than $640,000 in funding for Community Development Block Grant projects Tuesday night, including some money for at least one controversial ongoing project in the city. The largest recipient of the $640,500 in monies will be the Cache Community Food Pantry, which will get $100,000 to aide in its expansion. Sixteen other organizations will get money, including the Logan park strip reclamation project, which will receive $57,500, and $60,000 for the Logan Main Street “ADA” project. The Downtown Business Development Fund will receive $50,000, and the Neighborhood Nonprofit Housing Corporation’s home ownership assistance project will get $45,000. The Child and Family Support Center will receive $20,000 for facility improvements.
