Food pantry biggest winner in CDBG allocation

Members of the Logan Municipal Council Tuesday night approved the allocation of $640,500 in Community Development Block Grant funds with the largest amount, $100,000, going to the Cache Community Food Pantry for an expansion of the existing facility.Of 17 different organizations receiving funds for the fiscal year, $60,000 will go to Phase Two of Main Street ADA and $57,500 for Park Strip Reclamation. Next on the list was the Downtown Business Development Fund for $50,000 followed by the Neighborhood Nonprofit Housing Corporation’s Homeownership Assistance Program, $45,000. The Child and Family Support Center will receive $20,000 for facility improvements.
