Wednesday crash snarls Main Street traffic (with photo gallery)

Emergency crews attended to a major car crash on Main Street in Logan Wednesday afternoon. There is no official word yet on the cause of the accident or extent of injuries, if any. The crash happened just after 3:30 p.m. and involved three vehicles near Papa Kelsey’s at about 650 N. Main. The crash reportedly involved a small truck, a compact car and a minivan. Three tow trucks responded to the scene to remove the vehicles involved in the accident. The small truck was on its side with one of its wheels separated from the vehicle. Main Street traffic was shut down for about 45 minutes after the crash, but by about 4:20, traffic was flowing again. “I was at my desk and heard a very loud noise,” said Greg Fabricius, who has an office in the area. “I thought it was the Dumpster slamming to the pavement faster than usual, after being emptied by the garbage truck.” When Fabricius walked outside, he was the crash and immediately called 911 and did what he could to assist the patients.
