Cache County is celebrating National County Government on Friday, April 23 with a Health and Safety Fair being sponsored jointly with the Bear River Health Department. The event will run from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the patio area between the Historic Cache County Court House and the County Administration Building. In case of inclement weather the events will be held in the multi-purpose room of the Administration Building. A limited number of helmets for kids will be given away. National County Government Month, sponsored by the National Association of Counties, was first celebrated in 1991 to raise awareness and understanding about the roles and responsibilities of the nation’s counties. The theme this year is “Healthy Counties.” At the Health and Safety Fair the Health Department, Extension Office, Dairy Ambassadors, Fire Department and Sheriffs office will showcase various services to promote healthy living.
