Man’s body found in Willard Bay

WILLARD, Utah (AP) — Crews have removed a man’s body from Willard Bay.Utah State Parks rangers recovered the man’s remains, still clad with a life jacket, late this morning.Ranger Jeff Steele says the badly decomposed body was spotted by fishermen near the bay’s north dike.He says authorities are investigating whether the remains may be those of a man reported missing on the bay earlier this year.On March 22, 60-year-old Don Larkin of Pocatello, Idaho, vanished while visiting the bay, and authorities later found his car parked in Willard Bay State Park.Investigators say it appeared Larkin may have taken a kayak onto the bay.Subsequent searches failed to find Larkin.Willard Bay State Park is located in southeastern Box Elder County.
