Republican First District Congressman Rob Bishop is praising Interior Secretary Ken Salazar for his decision to open parts of Massachusetts for wind energy production. Bishop, who is chairman of the Western Caucus, says right now over half of the energy used in this country comes from foreign and often unstable countries. Therefore, Bishop says, it is imperative that we continue to utilize all abundant natural resources located within the United States, including wind. Bishop says he hopes the decision signals a new era for the Obama administration and that they will continue to act on behalf of all Americans by increasing all forms of domestic energy supplies. Bishop is expected to be in Logan Friday night for the Cache County Republican Party Convention.
