No injuries in Mendon helicopter crash

MENDON, Utah (AP) — Authorities say no one was injured when a helicopter crash landed after engine failure in northern Utah.The Cache County sheriff’s office says the Robinson 22 Beta II had engine failure during a routine training flight about 1,500 feet above ground Friday evening.An instructor and student pilot were alert when law enforcement officers arrived and denied medical attention at the scene in a field near Mendon.The aircraft ended up on its side with damage to its rotors and body.Officials with the National Transportation Safety Board are expected to arrive to complete an investigation.
