Woman dies in crash with driver’s ed car

ELWOOD, Utah (AP) – The Utah Highway Patrol says a woman was killed in a collision with a driver’s education car. UHP says 77-year-old Virginia Goodrich of Bear River City, Utah, was northbound on State Route 13 at the Elwood overpass at Interstate 15 about 5 p.m. Tuesday. Troopers say a 15-year-old student driver exited I-15, stopped at the stop sign at the end of the off-ramp, then pulled out to make a left turn on the state road. Goodrich’s car collided with the vehicle driven by the student. UHP says the student was from the Box Elder School District. The Box Elder County district attorney will consider whether charges are warranted.
