Several sheriff’s officials honored at awards banquet

The Cache County Sheriff’s Office held their annual Awards Banquet in conjunction with National Law Enforcement Week on Thursday, May 13, in Logan. They recognized deputies from each of the three divisions in the Sheriff’s Office, and citizens, for exemplary service rendered during the past year.The citizens and one deputy were honored for their bravery in the College Ward house explosion.Sheriff G. Lynn Nelson, in an address to the deputies commended the Sheriff’s Office for a very positive year and talked about the two deputies from our State that were tragically killed in the line of duty (JOSIE FOX and FRANCO AGUILAR). He also talked about Hero’s in our lives and that they were Hero’s because of how they lived their lives.
