Early voting for Republican primary begins Monday, June 7

The deadline is approaching for voters to register in time to cast ballots in the Republican primary election. Cache County Clerk Jill Zollinger says voters can sign up in her office until 5 p.m. on Monday, June 7. The deadline to register by mail has already passed so voters will have to sign up in person if they want to vote in the June 22 Primary. Zollinger says early voting will begin on Tuesday, June 8 and run through June 18. “Those sites are going to be the County Administration Building, and that will be there every day that we hold early voting,” Zollinger says. “Then we’ve got two sites, one that will be in Smithfield and one that is in Hyrum. The last week of early voting we will have the sites there.” Zollinger says you can check for dates and times on Cache County’s website:

There are two races in Cache County: incumbent District 5 State Representative Curt Webb is being challenged by fellow Republican Chuck Bateman, and incumbent Cache County Recorder Michael Gleed is being challenged by Staney Palmer.
